SUNY Empire State University is seeking candidates for a full-time Facility Operations Assistant 2 to work in our Saratoga Springs location.
Under the direction of the Assistant Director, the Facility Operations Assistant 2 will function in a hybrid capacity, split between supervisory and hands-on operational work.
Duties Of This Position Will Include The Following
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.
Work Hours
Monday - Friday 11:00am - 7:00pm
Special Information: Must possess a valid NYS driver's license

Duties Of This Position Will Include The Following
- Perform routine custodial cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways and common areas
- Perform light maintenance tasks including, but not limited to changing light bulbs and minor repairs
- Perform seasonal snow removal including shoveling, salting and de-icing walkways
- Supervise five custodial positions
- Oversee custodial supply levels; coordinating ordering and distribution
- Ensure proper use, storage and handling of cleaning materials and equipment
