Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SUD Treatment Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the social model concept of treatment and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients. This role requires patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and guidance to clients through withdrawal management, and residential treatment.
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assist in the client's goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
- Conduct drug tests and room searches every week.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
- Provide transportation to the clients as the need arises.
Qualifications:
- Registered or ready to register with an appropriate governing agency such as CADTP or CCAPP.
- Basic knowledge of the social model concept of treatment.
- Compassion, empathy, patience, and understanding when working with individuals with substance use disorders.
- Must be fingerprinted and pass a background check.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Obtain a CPR/First Aid certificate.
- Provide proof of a TB test within the last six months.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts based on availability.
