What are the responsibilities and job description for the Division Analyst position at Empire Merchants Metro Career Center?
POSITION SUMMARY
Utilizing critical thinking skills, the incumbent analyzes sales performance, tracks results, and identifies sales opportunities for the Division Manager’s account base. The incumbent also performs analytical project work on an ad hoc basis requiring the ability to make recommendations on goal development; prepares sales reports using data from the business analytics and goal tracking systems to track current and prior quota/sales progress; and extracts and manipulates data, and formats reports as requested by sales management.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS
- Analyzes sales results and offers recommendations to sales management to drive better goal writing and attainment. Maintains goal tracking system in Enterprise system for their sales group, and provides daily/weekly updates and supporting Division Manager’s evaluation of monthly quotas and programs.
- Interacts with Division Manager, FSM, Sales Reps, Empire administrative staff, Suppliers and Customers to identify opportunities to positively impact overall business and offer recommendations to resolve problems.
- Develops and populates sales templates with pertinent data and collaborates with Division Managers and/or FSMs to identify business needs and design appropriate, replicable reports.
- Prepares materials for Divisional meetings, supplier planning meetings and/or Division Managers & FSMs by aggregating internal sales data, tracking results on key programs and communicating/identifying volume/distribution gaps at all levels and other informational needs.
- Assists in administering the development of sales quotas and/or forecasts for monthly/quarterly/annual sales goals based on the division’s assigned goals and sales territory performance.
- Completes all necessary training programs by attending, participating, and passing all required training programs as defined by management. (e.g. Compliance, DIVER, JDE, MS Applications). Assists in performing user acceptance testing on systems when needed.
- Maintains customer and supplier confidence by keeping appropriate information confidential.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Starting Salary: $66,300 - $76,300 and annual bonus potential
