Senior Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition: Senior AccountantLocation: Fully onsite, Corona, CAEmployment Type: Full-Time | On-SiteDepartment: AccountingRate Range: $90-95kOverview:The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records for multiple business entities, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. This role plays a key part in day-to-day accounting operations, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong general ledger accounting, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.Key Responsibilities:General Accounting Assist in getting the books caught up Prepare and record journal entries for month-end and year-end close for multiple entities: retail stores and wholesale/distribution entities. Properly account for intracompany activities and reconciliation between multiple entities retail andwholesale/distribution Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data. Perform bank and all balance sheet reconciliations. Assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Support Oversee payment distribution for wholesale/distribution entities For the Retail Stores - Review and verify invoices to ensure payments are made, and accurate sales are recorded for each store Ensure correct coding of invoices and expenses Financial Analysis Reporting Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Prepare schedules for management review and external auditors.Compliance Controls Support internal control documentation and compliance maintenance. Assist in audit requests, tax filings, licensing, and regulatory set up and reporting.Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with operations, sales, and accounting team on accounting matters. Provide support for ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 3–4 years of accounting experience (public, private, or mix). Strong understanding of US GAAP, General Ledger. Proficiency in Excel (formulas, formatting, VLOOKUP, pivot tables). Experience with ERP systems (Odoo, QuickBooks, or similar). Experience in multiple company intracompany accounting. Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Preferred Skills (Optional) CPA or CPA-eligible. Experience in wholesale, distribution and retail stores. Experience with vaping products is a plus.

Salary : $90,000 - $95,000
