Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at the Holiday Inn Madison. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cleanliness and hospitality, ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for guests and residents alike, contributing to their overall satisfaction. The Housekeeper will be responsible for performing various cleaning tasks in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines. This is a pay by room position. $8.50 per check out room and $5.50 per stayover room. There is a $500 bonus paid out after completing 90 days of service and an additional $250 paid out after 180 days of service.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, and common areas, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized and well-maintained.
- Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing as needed.
- Manage housekeeping supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Follow established cleaning protocols for industrial cleaning tasks as required.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in line with hospitality expectations.
- Assist in housekeeping management duties as needed, including training new staff members on best practices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing custodial duties.
- Provide exceptional service to guests by responding promptly to requests for additional amenities or assistance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial roles is preferred, particularly in hospitality settings such as hotels or resorts.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties.
