What We Are Looking For
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Business, Accounting, or related field
- 3 years’ experience in the new home/residential construction industry; specifically within the purchasing or estimating function
- Knowledge and experience in homebuilder accounting and purchasing software systems (NewStar and BuildPro a plus)
- Knowledge of construction trades and building materials, thorough in plans reading, understanding and knowledge of the entire residential construction process
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel

- Accurately input contract pricing into accounting and purchasing software as well as audit data input to ensure accuracy of data
- Assure all contract documents are executed and returned within prescribed time frames, process vendors and vendor contracts, track vendor contracts
- Qualify all proposals to ensure that bids are aligned and consistent and include all specifications, scopes, and details as well as create bid comparisons
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and scope documents to prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate pricing
- Prepare and distribute bid packages for new products and projects and prepare project estimates (feasibilities) and assist in establishing proformas
- Creatively source new products to help lower cost and improve quality/aesthetic appeal of production homes
- Assist in development and updates for detailed scope of work for trades
