What We Are Looking For
- Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture & Design
- 3-5 years in Interior Design
- Self-starter who is confident to take buyer appointments immediately once systems trained
- Ability to work independently on projects or collaborate with a team
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentations skills with the ability to retain and articulate information
- Must be personable, friendly, and professional
- Excellent customer service skills
- Microsoft Office Computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint
- Proven experience in interior design with experience in residential new construction a plus
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Newstar
- Certifications in NCIDQ, DCPro
- Ability to read floor plans

- Guide home buyers through the design selections process to assist them in making informed decisions regarding finishes, materials, and other personalization options.
- Manage design documentation for all assigned home buyers, market homes, and model homes.
- Assist trade partners, as needed, to ensure timely procurement of materials and finishes.
- Assist sales and construction, as needed, on any design-related needs.
- Develop exterior schemes/coloration for upcoming communities that align with the overall community vision and branding.
- Vision development for future model homes including the specification, procurement, and installation of all furniture, art and accessories.
- Work alongside internal teams to regularly update design center offerings to reflect new trends, customer preferences, and market demands.
- Assist the team in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Design Center, which includes opening and closing the Design Center, engaging with customers, maintaining the visual displays, cleanliness of the Design Center, and re-stocking refreshments, when needed.
