What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oil Burner Technician position at Empire Fuel?
- Maintains customer’s oil burners, boilers, furnaces and associated controls.
- Perform necessary service on customer’s heating equipment related to emergency call of “no heat”, smoke, no hot water, oil leaks, etc. These calls are performed as daily duties and on call situations.
- Perform annual tune –ups of heating equipment. This includes, at a minimum vacuuming of the furnace or boiler, changing oil filters, cleaning pump strainers, changing nozzles and performing a combustion test.
- Check or investigate new or old burner systems for proper operation and repair.
- Maintain necessary parts inventory in technicians’ service van.
- Willing to perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
- Must be willing to work in excess of 40 hours a week
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Compensation Dependent on skill and ability
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
