Role Description
The Paid - Special Events Intern (Summer) will support Empire Events Group in organizing and managing fundraising events for nonprofit clients with a specialized focus on the entertainment, health, and wellness sectors. This internship role involves assisting with event planning, executing logistics, and providing excellent customer service. Interns will also assist with event marketing and on-site support during events. This is an on-site role based in Holmdel, NJ, offering a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in event management and fundraising.
We are looking for a start date on or about June 1st.
We are a small 5-6 person office, which means that you will gain a tremendous amount of hands-on experience and, hopefully, have fun.
Interns are expected to be on-site 2β3 days per week, from 10 AM to 5 PM. Availability on event dates is required, along with the flexibility to work late evenings leading up to large-scale productions.

Qualifications
- Proficient in Google Programs (Docs, Sheets etc.)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Self-motivated and team-oriented, capable of working independently and collaboratively
- Pursuing a degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related fields is a plus
- Experience as an office assistant or in a related sales field a plus, but not required
