We are seeking a skilled, highly motivated, detail-oriented Commercial Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial electrical construction projects. You’ll review plans, specifications, and other project documents to determine scope, materials, labor, and timelines, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical systems, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications. You’ll collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to develop precise budgets and proposals that support successful project delivery.

Responsibilities
- Manage the entire bid process from initial inquiry through final proposal submission for assigned electrical projects.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits (virtual or in-person as required) to thoroughly understand project scope, conditions, and requirements.
- Perform comprehensive quantity take-offs from blueprints, electrical drawings, specifications, and other bid documents.
- Develop detailed material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
- Identify and evaluate project risks and opportunities to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Present estimates and proposals to internal teams and external clients.
- Maintain and update internal cost databases and historical project data.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders during the estimating phase.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience with an electrical contractor
- Strong working knowledge of electrical installation means and methods, systems, components, and industry best practices
- In-depth understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Accubid, LiveCount) and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to accurately read and interpret complex electrical blueprints, specifications, and contract documents
- Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bids concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Base Pay: $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
