Job Title: Studio Front Desk (Part-Time)
Location: Paramus, NJ – Brand New Studio Location!
Pay Range: $17 - $20 per hour Studio membership (A $300/month value!)
About Us
We are Empire Dance Studio NJ, a brand-new, community-driven studio opening our doors in Paramus. We believe that the client experience starts the second someone walks through our door. We’re building a passionate, welcoming team from the ground up, and we're looking for an incredible Front Desk Coordinator to be the heartbeat of our space.
The Role
As our Front Desk Coordinator, you aren’t just checking people in—you are creating an experience. You will manage the daily flow of the studio, build relationships with our members, and ensure the space looks pristine.
- Welcome & Hospitality: Greet clients with genuine warmth, check them into classes/sessions, and give new guests a tour of our beautiful new space.
- Studio Operations: Anticipate client needs and handle inquiries with a quick, solutions-oriented attitude.
- Proactive & Fast-Paced: You thrive in a dynamic environment with moving parts. You don't wait to be told what to do—you take initiative, spot opportunities to help.
- Sales & Growth: Educate clients on membership packages, retail, and current studio promotions to help grow our community.
- Space Management: Maintain the studio’s aesthetic and common spaces tidy, organized, and welcoming (light cleaning/restocking retail and supplies).
- Community & Social Media Support: Help capture the energy of the studio by recording daily BTS video clips to post on our social media platforms.
- Opening/Closing: Responsibly open or close the studio, ensuring the space is secure and ready for the day's guests.
Qualifications
- Must Be A People Person: Have a naturally warm, energetic, and welcoming personality. Must love connecting with and helping people.
- Reliable & Punctual: Take pride in showing up on time and running a tight ship.
- Detail-Oriented: Multi-task between a client checking in and a retail purchase without losing your cool.
- Tech-Savvy: You possess strong computer literacy with proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and are comfortable learning studio management software (like Mindbody, Ticket Tailor, Yodeck, Canva etc).
- Local Advocate: Must have reliable transportation, living near Paramus is a major plus.
- Previous Experience: 1-2 year experience in Sales and Concierge
- Bilingual Skills (A Plus!): Bilingual abilities are a major plus to help us welcome and serve our diverse New Jersey community effectively.
