Empellón Midtown, established by Chef and Owner Alex Stupak, is seeking an exceptional host to join our team. This role is ideal for a hospitality-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume New York City dining environment and understands the importance of creating a strong first and lasting impression for our guests.
We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask seamlessly while maintaining a warm, polished, and genuinely welcoming presence at all times. The host plays a critical role in shaping the guest experience—from managing reservations and pacing the dining room to communicating effectively with both guests and the front-of-house team.
This position is available as full-time or part-time and requires flexible availability, including daytime, evening, and weekend shifts.
Qualified candidates must have:
- Experience in high-volume, high-demand restaurant environments
- A naturally warm, professional, and welcoming demeanor
- Strong communication skills, including confidence and clarity on the phone
- Prior experience in NYC restaurants
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- The ability to stay composed, organized, and proactive under pressure
Experience with reservation platforms such as Resy and OpenTable is a plus.
