The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Contracts Manager to support a broad range of government and commercial contracting activities across the organization.
This role will serve as a key partner to legal, business, and operational stakeholders, overseeing the full contract lifecycle from proposal and negotiation through execution, compliance, and ongoing contract administration.
The position offers exposure to public-sector contracting, SaaS and technology agreements, procurement contracts, consulting services agreements, and other strategic commercial relationships, making it an excellent opportunity for a contracts professional who enjoys working across a diverse portfolio of agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and execute a variety of government and commercial contracts, solicitations, and agreements
- Assess contractual, legal, and business risks and provide guidance to internal stakeholders
- Review and negotiate NDAs, professional services agreements, consulting agreements, procurement contracts, software licensing agreements, and related documents
- Partner directly with customers, procurement teams, and contracting personnel to negotiate mutually acceptable terms
- Develop and maintain contract templates, including NDAs, Teaming Agreements, SaaS/DaaS agreements, reseller agreements, and technology-related contracts
- Support contract compliance efforts and ensure agreements align with company policies and risk tolerances
- Provide contract interpretation and guidance to project managers and business teams throughout project execution
- Manage contract reporting, status tracking, and contract management system administration
- Support risk management and compliance initiatives, including insurance certificates, bonds, licensing requirements, and corporate registrations
- Assist in developing and improving contracting policies, procedures, and internal training programs
- Participate in business and project meetings as needed to provide contractual guidance and support
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6 years of experience supporting government contracts, SaaS/DaaS agreements, or related technology-focused contracting environments
- 6 years of contract drafting, negotiation, and contract management experience
- Strong understanding of government contracting processes from proposal submission through contract execution
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex agreements while balancing legal, operational, and business objectives
- Strong understanding of contractual risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience supporting corporate risk management and compliance programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with FAR and DFARS regulations
- Experience supporting software, cloud, technology, or data services organizations
- Experience working with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems
