As a family-owned company, we value teamwork, integrity, and long-term employee growth.Position SummaryThe Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gasoline dispensers, fuel pumps, underground storage tank components, and associated electronic and mechanical systems. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical and technical aptitude, field troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to work independently and in coordination with customers, vendors, and team members.ResponsibilitiesPerform scheduled and emergency maintenance on petroleum fueling equipment including Wayne, Veeder Root, Franklin Fueling, and Gasboy systems.Install, troubleshooting, and repair components such as fuel dispensers, motors, piping, and tank sensors.Respond to after-hours emergency service requests in an on-call rotation.Read and interpret scopes of work, technical drawings, and specifications.Assemble/disassemble mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components in the field.Complete all required documentation and reports following service visits.Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and inventory.Follow all safety policies and procedures, including confined space and ladder safety.Use company provided PPE and attend regular safety meetings.Interface professionally with customers, vendors, and local enforcement agencies.Ensure compliance with construction site safety standards and environmental regulations.Leverage computer programming knowledge and basic IT skills to support diagnostics and system upgrades.Utilize Microsoft Office and company software to manage service records and communication.Required QualificationsMinimum 3 years of hands-on mechanical, electrical, or plumbing experience.Experience working with petroleum or fueling systems strongly preferred.Basic understanding of electrical systems and safe troubleshooting practices.Strong organizational and time management skills.Valid Driver’s License (required); ability to travel daily to job sites.Comfortable working in confined spaces, on ladders, and in outdoor conditions.Work Environment & Physical DemandsThe employee may regularly stand, walk, climb, crawl, pull, push, bend, stoop, and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.Candidates will need to be comfortable interacting and engaging with staff as needed in construction related environment, job site, warehouse or shop environment.TravelTravel to job sites as needed.May travel to Erie, PA location.May travel for training.Equal Opportunity EmployerEmpaco is an Equal Opportunity Employer that complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws, including those of the State of Ohio.
