Description

The Southeast AIDS Education and Training Center at Emory University builds the capacity of the healthcare workforce to prevent, diagnose, and treat HIV through interactive training, clinical preceptorships, practice transformation coaching, and minority-serving-institution curriculum integration.

The Program Coordinator serves as the operational backbone of the Emory SE AETC partner site. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Coordinator is responsible for coordinating training events end-to-end, creating and maintaining all event records in reporting platforms, and ensuring compliance with SE AETC reporting requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops work plans to accomplish program goals and objectives and monitors progress toward their achievement.
  • Conducts research and gathers information to develop various publications.
  • Develops promotional materials which may include content for reports, newsletters, grants or other written information to promote program initiatives and stakeholder engagement
  • Coordinate and support educational programs, training events, conferences, meetings, and related activities, including planning, logistics, participant engagement, and continuing education requirements.
  • Monitor program expenditures and provide administrative and fiscal support, including collecting documentation for invoices, coordinating vendor services, arranging travel, and procuring supplies and event materials.
  • May assist in identifying funding resources and developing fund-raising strategies and initiatives.
  • Prepares operational and statistical reports.
  • Conducts training, represents the program at meetings and conferences, and networks with affiliated groups. May supervise assigned project staff, interns and/or volunteers.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain relationships with healthcare providers, community partners, and other stakeholders to support program implementation and outreach.
  • Manage program records, data, and reports, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of program activities and outcomes.
  • Serve as a liaison with regional and external partners to support collaboration, resource sharing, and dissemination of program activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program.
  • Two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating training, continuing education, or healthcare events.
  • Experience with registration/evaluation databases or learning-management systems
  • Familiarity with HIV/public-health programs or grant-funded environments.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Office/hybrid work with extensive computer and virtual-platform use.
  • Occasional travel to support in-person training events and meetings.
  • Occasional evening/weekend hours around training events.

This position is grant-funded; continuation is contingent upon availability of funds and sponsor support.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
