KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages administrative and research activities in support of a specialized program or research center.
  • Develops plans for program growth and development and serves as a liaison to various committees or organizations.
  • May oversee the planning, logistics and implementation of various special events such as lectures, seminars, conferences, or research projects.
  • Participates in developing and implementing various program related communications such as websites, publications, multimedia or video productions.
  • May hire and supervise administrative or research related staff.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES:

 

• Provides administrative infrastructure and manages administrative activities in support of the Nia Project• Engages in the development and implementation of new initiatives for the Nia Project• Oversees the planning, logistics, and implementation of Nia Project activities and programs• Organizes team meetings, documents activities and agreed upon deliverables, monitors follow up activities• Manages communications with Nia members• Works with Drs. Kaslow and Dunn and the Nia Executive Team with various tasks• Performs related responsibilities as required• Reports to the Director and the Clinical and Education Director of the Nia Project

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Five years of professional experience in a related field such as business administration, research, or information systems management.
  • Program or project management experience strongly preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree• Prior supervisory and program/project coordination or management experience• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills• Strong negotiation skills• Ability to plan and execute projects in a timely manner• Highly organized• Minimum of a one-year commitment

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
