What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Radiologist position at Emory University?
In collaboration with successful candidates, physician schedules are carefully composed to optimize work-life balance and prioritize long-term personal and divisional success. Faculty work with divisional leadership to choose from several schedule templates. Day, afternoon, evening, swing and overnight shifts are available, with overnight work being optional. Schedules can be fixed (such as 1 week on and 1 week off; 1 week on and 2 weeks off; 1 week on and 3 weeks off) or flexible (rotating shifts with a per-year shift requirement). The more overnight shifts done per year, the lower the annual shift requirement. More specific schedule details and options can be provided in discussions with leadership after application.
Candidates should have a demonstrated career interest in Emergency Imaging, possess strong clinical skills, function well in a fast-paced time-sensitive emergency setting, and work collaboratively with trainees and other faculty. Candidates can choose to be more clinically focused without academic time, or to be academically focused with 20% academic time. Academic faculty should be prepared to fully participate in the non-clinical divisional activities, including scholarship, teaching, trainee supervision, and service. The department also supports leadership and faculty development opportunities with the possibility for leadership positions and advancement within the division and department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicants must be ABR Board-certified/eligible and eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license.
- Candidates with subspecialty training or emergency imaging experience are desired.
- Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
