- Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, procures, prepares, packages, and distributes prescription drugs and pharmaceutical supplies.
- Maintains IV records and patient profiles and manufactures and prepares sterile products. Performs other related duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Individuals with experience and not certified may be hired contingent on achieving certification within one year of employment.
- Must be registered with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy.
- Certification must be maintained through continuing education requirements for continued employment.
- Certification as a pharmacy technician by completion of an accredited technician training program, by national exam, or current enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- Demonstrates mathematical skills required to calculate and prepare dilutions, reconstitutions and compounded products.
