This is a full-time, on-site role for a Paramedic based in Houston, MN. The Paramedic will provide emergency medical care, administer treatment to patients in urgent situations, operate medical equipment, and collaborate with healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include responding to emergency calls, assessing patient conditions, performing life-saving interventions, and ensuring safe patient transportation. Additionally, the Paramedic will document patient information and maintain equipment and supplies to ensure preparedness at all times.
- Proficiency in emergency patient assessment, administering medications, and performing life-saving interventions
- Skills in using medical equipment, such as defibrillators and basic airway management tools
- Knowledge of emergency response protocols and healthcare safety regulations
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to remain calm, think critically, and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
- Valid Paramedic certification and licensure as required by the state of Minnesota
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and transport patients
- Previous experience in a healthcare or emergency medical services setting is highly desirable
- Associate's degree in paramedicine or equivalent preferred, but not required
