Position Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, on time, and within budget. This role will manage production teams, coordinate scheduling, improve operational processes, and drive overall company performance and customer satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Project Management

• Oversee all production operations including roofing, siding, and exterior projects
• Manage project timelines, job scheduling, and crew assignments
• Ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standards
• Monitor job progress and proactively resolve delays or issues

Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and manage project managers, crew leaders, and subcontractors
• Set performance expectations and hold teams accountable
• Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and quality workmanship

Process Improvement

• Develop and implement systems to improve efficiency and profitability
• Standardize workflows for estimating handoff, production, and job completion
• Track KPIs (job profitability, cycle time, callbacks, customer satisfaction)

Customer Experience

• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
• Address escalated customer concerns and ensure timely resolution
• Maintain Emmons’ reputation for excellent service and communication

Financial & Operational Oversight

• Manage budgets, labor costs, and material usage
• Review job costing and identify opportunities to increase margins
• Coordinate with sales and accounting teams to ensure smooth project flow

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all work complies with local codes, licensing, and safety regulations
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards across all job sites
• Maintain proper documentation, permits, and inspections

QualificationsRequired

• 3–7 years of experience in operations, construction management, or roofing/siding industry
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills (team customer-facing)

Preferred

• Experience in roofing, siding, or exterior remodeling industry
• Knowledge of insurance restoration and storm damage workflows
• Familiarity with CRM/project management software (e.g., JobNimbus, AccuLynx, etc.)
• Understanding of budgeting, job costing, and P&L management
