Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage preparation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling regulations at all times
- Design and Create captivating and engaging social media posts
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the café
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is preferred
- Knowledge of Social Media and media content development.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions
- Familiarity with food safety standards, food preparation, and food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Experience in the food industry or retail environment is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food service operations
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.90 - $17.00 per hour
