Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at ou non-profit child development center open from 7:00am-5:30pm. We are a child-led, play-based program that serves children 6 weeks up until the age of 8. We provide early care and education and before and after school care.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns related to child welfare.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the learning experience through shared resources and strategies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience in classroom management within daycare or preschool settings.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
