Our center features licensed nurses on staff, compassionate direct care staff, engaging activities, medical screenings, transportation support, and nutritious meals to promote well-being and independence.
Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate energetic and detail-oriented persons to fill the Center Assistant role! In this vital role, you will support the daily operations of the Adult Day Health Center, providing assistance to participants in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. This role involves facilitating activities, assisting with personal care, and ensuring the overall well-being of all participants.
Responsibilities:
- Assist participants in daily activities, including physical exercises, arts and crafts, and social events.
- Provide support with personal care needs, such as ambulating, grooming, feeding and toileting, as necessary.
- Monitor participant health and safety, reporting any concerns to the Healthcare Coordinator and/or CEO/Executive Director.
- Maintain a clean and organized facility, ensuring all equipment and materials are in good condition.
- Engage participants in meaningful conversations and activities to promote social interaction.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in a healthcare or caregiving setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in working with adults.
- CPR, AED and First Aid.
- CNA or PCA experience preferred.
