Purpose of the Position
The Church Administrator serves as the senior administrative leader of the church and is responsible for ensuring that the daily operations of the congregation are conducted effectively, efficiently, and in a manner that supports the mission of the church. This position allows the pastoral staff to devote their primary attention to preaching, teaching, pastoral care, discipleship, evangelism, and vision leadership.

The Administrator supports the church's mission by providing excellent stewardship of financial, human, and physical resources while creating systems that enable staff and volunteers to flourish.
Core ResponsibilitiesFinance & Administration (30%)
- Coordinate budgeting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly financial reports with the external accounting firm and Finance Committee.
- Maintain sound internal controls and administrative policies.
- Support annual audit or financial review.
Communications (15%)
- Collaborate with other staff members on church publications, website, email communications, social media, and calendar.
- Print the Worship Guide weekly.
- Ensure consistent and timely communication across all ministries.
Operations & Facilities (20%)
- Coordinate facility scheduling and vendor relationships.
- Supervise administrative systems and assist with custodial coordination.
- Monitor maintenance priorities and operational contracts.
Staff & Human Resources (15%)
- Supervise paid and volunteer office personnel.
- Coordinate onboarding, benefits administration, personnel records, and policy implementation.
Membership & Information Systems (10%)
- Maintain membership records, attendance and church database.
Strategic Leadership (10%)
- Recommend operational improvements.
- Support strategic planning and implementation.
- Develop systems that strengthen volunteer engagement and staff effectiveness.
Authority and Decision-Making
The Church Administrator is authorized to make day-to-day operational decisions within approved policies and budget parameters, while major personnel, financial, and policy decisions remain with the Senior Pastor and appropriate governing bodies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent leadership experience considered.
- Preference for five or more years of progressively responsible administrative leadership.
- Experience with budgeting, supervision, project management, and organizational systems.
- Excellent communication, technology, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and Christian character.
- Pass a comprehensive background check.

- Financial reporting is timely and accurate.

Compensation
- Salary range: $40,000 - $55,000
- 6% retirement contribution
