Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Avionics Technician to join our Backshop Wire Harness team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in harness building, wire marking, and braiding, as well as experience with various avionics systems and components. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to troubleshoot, modify, and construct complex avionics systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and repair electrical harnesses for avionics systems, including reading and interpreting schematics and diagrams.
* Utilize wire marking machines to label and identify wires and cables.
* Operate harness braiding machines to protect and organize wires and cables.
* Work with wafer connections, including assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
* Modify and construct Gigabit Ethernet Switch (GES) systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
* Perform Ethernet wiring modifications and constructions, including testing and troubleshooting.
* Assemble, troubleshoot, and modify circuit breaker panels and matrix assemblies.
* Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex technical issues.
* Apply knowledge of avionics systems and components to troubleshoot and repair complex problems.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed.
* Adhere to safety protocols and procedures when working with electrical systems and components.
Basic Qualifications:
* Must be willing to work 2nd shift (3:00pm-1:30am). Will train on day shift and move to nights immediately after training. (2nd shift increase will be added once training is completed and contractor is working 2nd shift).
* Must have strong experience in the following: Harness Build up, Solder/crimping.
Must be able to start on 1/12/2026.
