What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Officer Assistant position at EMM LOANS LLC?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Officer Assistant to support a Branch Manager in a fast-paced mortgage office. This role is responsible for assisting with loan file preparation, client communication, and helping move loans efficiently through the mortgage process. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Contact borrowers to collect missing documents and information
- Assist with preparing loan files for submission to processing
- Issue pre-approvals and input loan data into the system
- Review documentation such as paystubs, tax returns, and asset statements
- Assist with ordering appraisals, title, and other third-party services
- Run credit and automated underwriting as needed
- Track loan status and keep the Loan Officer informed of progress
- Help monitor the loan pipeline and ensure deadlines are met
- Provide excellent customer service and guide clients through the mortgage process
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Customer service experience preferred
- Mortgage experience or knowledge of Encompass is a plus
- NMLS license is helpful but not required
This position is full-time and in-office in a professional mortgage lending environment.
