Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support maintenance operations across multiple multifamily communities
- Supervise and mentor floating maintenance staff and ensure efficient day-to-day operations
- Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and capital projects
- Determine when outside vendors or contractors are needed and manage those relationships
- Conduct regular property visits to assess maintenance needs and ensure quality standards are met
- Ensure timely completion of work orders and strong resident customer service
- Collaborate with property management teams to maintain operational efficiency and resident satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, inspections, and property regulations
- Manage priorities effectively while balancing field responsibilities and administrative tasks
- Previous multifamily maintenance leadership experience required
- Experience overseeing multiple properties preferred
- Strong knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance, and apartment operations
- Experience working with older buildings and troubleshooting maintenance challenges preferred
- Proven ability to lead maintenance teams and manage vendors effectively
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
- Comfortable working both in the field and in an office environment
