Science Teacher

• Position: Science Teacher
• Location: California
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Start Date: ASAP
• Total Hours Per Week: 35 hours per week
• Duration of Contract: New School Year 2025–26

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with state standards and the school’s curriculum
• Design hands-on experiments and activities that promote inquiry-based learning and student engagement
• Encourage curiosity and critical thinking through exploration of life, earth, and physical sciences
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and varying ability levels
• Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative tools, and provide constructive feedback
• Integrate technology, lab equipment, and multimedia tools to enhance scientific understanding
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support interdisciplinary and project-based learning initiatives
• Maintain a safe and organized laboratory and classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote academic success and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field required
• Master’s degree in Education or Science preferred
• Valid California Teaching Credential in Science (Single Subject) or Multiple Subject with science focus required
• Previous experience teaching science at the elementary or middle school level preferred
• Strong understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to inspire students through creativity, enthusiasm, and a hands-on approach to learning
• Proficiency in integrating technology into classroom instruction
