- Total Hours Per Week: 35 hours per week
- Duration of Contract: New School Year 2025–26
- Plan, develop, and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with state standards and the school’s curriculum
- Design hands-on experiments and activities that promote inquiry-based learning and student engagement
- Encourage curiosity and critical thinking through exploration of life, earth, and physical sciences
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and varying ability levels
- Assess student learning using a variety of formative and summative tools, and provide constructive feedback
- Integrate technology, lab equipment, and multimedia tools to enhance scientific understanding
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support interdisciplinary and project-based learning initiatives
- Maintain a safe and organized laboratory and classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote academic success and growth
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field required
- Master’s degree in Education or Science preferred
- Valid California Teaching Credential in Science (Single Subject) or Multiple Subject with science focus required
- Previous experience teaching science at the elementary or middle school level preferred
- Strong understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to inspire students through creativity, enthusiasm, and a hands-on approach to learning
- Proficiency in integrating technology into classroom instruction
