Assignment Details
- Position: Maintenance Technician
- Location: California
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Start Date: ASAP
- Total Hours Per Week: 35–40 hours per week
- Duration of Contract: New School Year 2025–26
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school buildings, classrooms, and equipment
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Assist with setup and breakdown for school events and special activities
- Maintain clean and safe work areas in compliance with health and safety standards
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
- Perform basic carpentry, painting, and general building upkeep as needed
- Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
- Collaborate with administrative and custodial staff to ensure facilities are well maintained
- Report and document maintenance activities, repairs, and safety concerns
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred
- Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems
- Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow safety protocols at all times
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
