• Position: ESL Teacher
• Location: California
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Start Date: ASAP
• Total Hours Per Week: 35 hours per week
• Duration of Contract: New School Year 2025–26

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and deliver engaging English language instruction tailored to students’ language proficiency levels
• Develop and implement lessons that integrate listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds of students
• Assess student progress using formal and informal assessments, and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to support student growth and language development
• Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages risk-taking in language learning
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress reports
• Stay current with best practices in ESL education and participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field required
• Master’s degree in TESOL or Education preferred
• Valid California Teaching Credential with English Learner Authorization (CLAD, TESOL, or equivalent) required
• Previous experience teaching English Language Learners (ELLs) in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication, cultural competency, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment
• Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for language instruction
