Emily Wish, LLC is looking for a full-time Dietitian to join our expanding clinical team in our Helena, MT location. Emily Wish, LLC offers outpatient services including individual therapy, nutrition therapy, therapeutic meal support, support groups, group therapy, and an outpatient intensive program for those struggling with disordered eating, eating disorders, and those looking to heal their relationship with food and body.
We are seeking someone with a specific passion for advocating from an anti-diet stance to work within our mission of abolishing diet culture and diet mentality through a Health at Every Size, Intuitive Eating, Body Trust, and a trauma informed lens. All of our services are offered face-to-face or via telehealth in order to serve the entire state of Montana. Applicants must be licensed in the state of Montana or eligible to receive licensure in the state of Montana. Position will begin hourly with the option to move to salary with unlimited PTO once a full caseload is established and maintained for a consistent period of time.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized meal plan that considers the needs of the patient including: medical, nutritional, age, cultural, religious, and ethnic concerns
- Provide individualized nutrition counseling to help patients establish and achieve nutritional goals and an improved relationship with body and food
- Provide nutrition education to patients and their families individually and in group settings
- Facilitate experiential groups, which may include restaurant outings, food preparation and cooking groups (as applicable)
- Provide therapeutic meal support, role-modeling normalized eating behaviors in a safe and compassionate environment
- Collaborate and coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary treatment team and serve as the nutrition expert resource
- Provide comprehensive and ongoing assessment resulting in appropriate treatment recommendations
- Develop, review, update and utilize education materials to meet the needs of patients, family members and clinical staff.
- Complete clinical paperwork, progress notes, and group notes in a timely and accurate fashion
- Effectively and consistently communicate to referral sources and treatment team providers
- Demonstrate ability to build therapeutic rapport
- Encourage ambivalent and/or resistant patients/family members and build motivation
- Facilitate groups with expertise, demonstrating ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process
- Demonstrate creativity in therapeutic nutrition interventions to include homework assignments, community resources, etc
- Demonstrate leadership in assuring continuity and quality of outpatient intensive program
- Perform other duties assigned
