Role Description This is an on-site, contract role for a Speech Language Pathologist (Early Intervention) based in Erie county, PA. The Speech Language Pathologist will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and feeding/swallowing needs for infants and toddlers within home and community settings. Daily responsibilities include conducting standardized and play-based evaluations, developing individualized family service plan (IFSP) goals, and delivering therapy that is embedded in family routines. The role involves coaching caregivers on strategies to support speech, language, and feeding development, documenting services in accordance with program and regulatory requirements, and collaborating with service coordinators and other early intervention providers. The Speech Language Pathologist will also participate in team meetings, maintain timely communication with families and colleagues, and uphold ethical and professional practice standards.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in Speech Therapy, including play-based therapy, family coaching, and intervention for young children.
- Expertise in addressing Communication Disorders and Language Disorders in infants and toddlers, with a family-centered, evidence-based approach.
- Competence in working with feeding concerns within an early intervention framework.
- Ability to support functional Speech development through play-based, developmentally appropriate therapy and caregiver coaching.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply if supervision is available.
- Experience with early intervention or pediatric populations, including home-based or community-based services, is highly beneficial.
- Strong documentation, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a caseload and travel locally within the Bradford, PA area.
- Effective, inclusive communication skills and the ability to build trusting, culturally responsive relationships with families and interdisciplinary team members.
- Current clearances and credentials as required by state and local early intervention regulations (e.g., background checks, clearances, trainings and CPR/First Aid).
