Role Description
This is a per diem, on-site role for Special Instructors in McKean and Warren counties, based in Mckean and Warren counties, PA. The Special Instructors will work with young children and their families to provide developmental support and to implement individualized family service plans. Daily responsibilities include assessing developmental needs, planning and delivering tailored interventions, documenting progress, and collaborating with parents, caregivers, and other team members to achieve optimal outcomes for children. The instructors will also participate in ongoing professional development to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications
- Expertise in early childhood education, child development, or special education
- Ability to implement individualized plans (IFSPs) and developmental strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in progress monitoring, reporting, and documentation
- Experience working with children with special needs, including knowledge of developmental milestones
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive educational environments
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- At least 1 year (full time) experience working with children with special needs in preschool or younger.
- Previous experience in early intervention or special instruction is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within McKean and Warren counties
