Middle School ELA Coach

Has a minimum of five (5) satisfactory years professional experience in 5-8 teaching. Has experience coaching teachers through coaching cycles. Has the ability to coach 5-8 teachers on a weekly/biweekly basis to support their professional growth and development as educators. Has the ability to work cooperatively with individual teachers and groups of teachers as a model teacher, mentor, professional coach and/or program facilitator. Willing and able to participate in and provide professional development toward mastering best professional practices in literacy. Has familiarity with effective instructional strategies and practices and current educational theory and research. Has an understanding of MCAS and NWEA assessments. Has an ability to use data to help staff plan lessons and units of study. Candidate will be a core member of the school instructional leadership team. Will work closely with school leadership to implement the school's vision for literacy instruction. Will provide professional development and curriculum oversight. Support implementation of a high-quality curriculum Will collaborate with professional development partners.
