Position Summary
As a Front Desk Agent at Emigrant Boutique Hotel, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, a trusted resource, a warm welcome, and a poised presence. You will create an environment that feels like home, while ensuring that every detail of the guest experience is handled with grace and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome all guests, setting the tone for their experience from the moment they arrive.
- Recognize returning guests in person or by phone.
- Manage reservations, process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, and ensure room keys and safe boxes are correctly issued.
- Promote upgrades and enhancements to elevate the guest’s stay experience.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and professionally.
- Anticipate guest needs, respond to inquiries, messages, and concerns with thoughtful attention.
- Serve as a trusted contact for billing inquiries, local information, and escalations to management when necessary.
- Maintain safety procedures and report any incidents or unusual activity per policy.
- Take pride in personal appearance and act as a visual ambassador of the Emigrant brand.
- Remain informed of daily activities, events, and VIP arrivals.
- Support team members with unexpected tasks as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills: approachable, friendly, and attentive to guest concerns and compliments.
- Problem-solving mindset: transform challenges into memorable resolutions.
- Fluency in English is required. Multilingual abilities are a plus but not essential.
- Strong literacy, basic math, and computer skills.
- Flexibility to work overnight, weekends, and holidays as part of the regular schedule.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Higher education is preferred but not essential.
- At least 1 year of prior front desk or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull items up to 50 lbs, including occasional kneeling and bending.
