What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator position at EMI?
Schedule will be Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Associate needs to be made aware that overtime will be necessary based on customer wants and needs. This means start and end times can and will vary.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for ensuring that all orders, shipping and receiving documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner.Provides scheduling of all inbound and outbound freight in compliance with warehouse operations.Coordinates receiving and shipping documents verifying accuracy.Gathers and maintains all data and records relative to shipping and receiving activities.Verifies accuracy on shipping orders and shipping quantities matching picking documents.Assists in resolving any discrepancies the customer might have.Collects all documentation for inbound freight and routes to the proper record keeping.Directs and oversees the pallet control and exchange program.Provides assistance on special projects at the discretion of the Lead Customer Service Representative or CSR Supervisor.Ensures security processes are followed with regard to the main entrance driver and visitor sign in process.Answers and routes all telephone calls in a polite manner, taking messages and routing to proper individual in a timely manner.Requirements:College Diploma Preferred.Strong computer knowledge including MS Office applications.Basic typing skills.Shipping software systems including TMS, WMS, ERP, and SCP.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Must be able to work in varying facility conditions including poor lighting and ventilation.Able to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and potentially holidays as needed by the customer.Company DescriptionAt EMI, we are a leading staffing agency dedicated to connecting top talent with exceptional companies.
