What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Keeper position at EMG Management?
Looking for a motivated Part Time or Full Time Grounds/Porter for our Salt Lake City apartment community. The qualified candidate should have strong attention to detail and be a self motivator.
General Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Clean-up of litter throughout property
- Using a leaf blower, broom, shovel, rake or snow blower to clean parking lots, landscaping, hallways and breezeways
- Some landscaping improvements and upkeep.
- Cleaning building hallways as needed
- Various painting projects including handrails, staircases, interior and exterior walls etc.
- Spreading salt on sidewalks, stairs and driveways
- Recognizing trip hazards and other hazards throughout property and reporting them to the onsite manager.
- Completes all work according to OSHA Standards and complies with company safety policies at all times.
- Cleaning and upkeep of office and clubhouse
Qualifications Needed:
- The skills and knowledge required would generally be obtained with previous experience in building cleaning and maintenance repair work or construction.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
- Ability to relate to vendors, staff and public in a courteous manner.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 25 to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
