What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Services Sales Representative position at Emery Telecommunications?
The focus of this position is to sell, upsell, and grow all business customer accounts. In addition to traditional telephone and internet services, this person will sell and upsell more complex telecommunications equipment and solutions for customers.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Works with the business installation supervisor and the business installation technicians to learn Emery Telcom’s business service offerings and how to assess customer needs to build sales quotes.
- Responds to all existing and potential customer inquiries.
- Performs in-person and cold-call contacts to existing and potential customers to offer products and services.
- Performs customer site walkthroughs to assess needs and opportunities when preparing quotes.
- Prepares and submit quotes for business services including telephone systems, internet services, ethernet data transport, computer systems, software maintenance, and low voltage wiring.
- Monitors and responds to requests for quotes (RFQ) from enterprise customers including cellular providers, local and state government agencies, and national third-party resellers.
- Follow up on previously submitted quotes to address questions or concerns and assist the customers in order submission.
- Work with customer service and accounting as needed to ensure orders are entered and completed in a timely manner and billing is accurate.
- Follow up after installations and alterations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the internal accounting department to determine pricing for non-standard services and to set pricing when introducing new services.
- May assist business services technicians with installation and troubleshooting tasks as needed.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in sales, advertising, business or related fields is preferred. Relevant related experience will also be considered.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, CRM, and basic advertising tools.
- Self-motivated. Must be willing to work as an individual and with a team.
