Boiler Operator – Job Summary
Duties:
Operate and monitor boilers, controls, and auxiliary equipment.
Operate manual valves and perform routine system checks.
Perform housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and wash-down using brooms, mops, brushes, and hoses.
Read gauges and record operating data.
Conduct water analysis using laboratory equipment.
Change filter bags in multiple buildings and ponds; collect samples and take system readings.
Travel up and down steps, uneven surfaces, and grated walkways.
Climb ladders, including straight steel permanent ladders.
Oversee sulfuric and caustic truck unloading operations.
Requirements:
Must possess a current Third Class Stationary Engineer’s License or an Ohio Boiler Operator’s License.
Experience operating boilers and auxiliary equipment with pneumatic, electronic, and computer controls in both automatic and manual modes is required.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Shifts begin at 4:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.Must have the ability to work more than 8 hours per day and over 40 hours per week as required.
The facility is a 24/7 operating plant.
Salary : $34 - $38
