What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Speech Therapist position at Emerson Health?
Reporting to the Pediatric Service Line Supervisor, the speech pathologist is responsible for providing outpatient speech/language/feeding and swallowing services to children (0-18yrs) with developmental, neurological, and medically based communication disorders. Ideal candidates will have 3 years of experience working with pediatric patients.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology required.
Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Pediatric Speech Pathologist strongly preferred, including pediatric feeding/swallowing and autism.
Licensure and/or Certification
- Current licensure to practice speech therapy in Massachusetts required.
- C.C.C. by the American Speech, Hearing & Language Association required.
- BLS required within 4 months from hire.

- Courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public both in person and on the phone.
- Ability to prioritize workload and respond to urgent needs.

- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
