- Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic care needs
- Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Supporting nurses with routine patient care tasks
- Observing patients and communicating changes to licensed nursing staff
- Maintaining a safe and organized patient care environment
- Providing compassionate customer service to patients and families
- Documenting patient information using electronic medical record systems
Minimum QualificationsEducation
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be currently enrolled in a professional nursing educational program
- Completion of at least one medical-surgical clinical rotation required
- Acute care or hospital experience preferred
- BLS Certification - Healthcare Provider required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Basic computer and electronic documentation skills
- Ability to maintain confidential patient information (HIPAA compliance)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
