Reporting to the Quality Improvement Manager, this position provides technical and administrative support for Home Care clinical documentation. The Specialist ensures that OASIS data and ICD-10 coding are accurate and compliant with State and Federal regulations from a technical standpoint. Minimum Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor preferred.
- Experience
- Minimum of three years of experience in home health coding or health information management preferred.
- Licensure and/or Certification
- Home Care Coding Specialist (HCS-D) required
- Home Care Clinical Specialist-OASIS (HCS-O), or Certification of OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) required
- Skills
- Proficiency in OASIS, PPS, and Medicare COP’s.
- Strong attention to technical details.
- Computer literacy
