Role Description
ETI is seeking a contract Network Security Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise and critical infrastructure environment. This is a full-time contract role expected to run approximately 18 months, with an anticipated start date of June 1, 2026.
The engineer will support network security operations, infrastructure initiatives, and access control technologies within a complex Cisco-based environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, security alignment, network assessments, firewall and access control support, and collaboration with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams.
This role is expected to be hybrid, with onsite presence in the Chicago area approximately three days per week. Midwest-based candidates are strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- CCNP certification required
- Experience with Cisco ISE required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Network Security, Network Administration, or Network Engineering
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking, segmentation, and security best practices
- Experience supporting Cisco infrastructure environments
- Experience with firewalls, access control, and network troubleshooting
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively across technical and operational teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise, transportation, utility, or regulated environments
- Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure environments
- Experience supporting large-scale or mission-critical networks
- Additional cybersecurity certifications are a plus
