Support Veterans with High-Quality Imaging

Emerging Tech is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) to provide diagnostic imaging at the VA Medical Center in San Francisco. You’ll perform exams in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings, working closely with VA Radiologists and clinical teams to ensure timely, accurate care for Veterans.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams following VA and ARDMS standards.

• Prepare, position, and educate patients for safe, accurate, and comfortable exams.

• Operate ultrasound equipment per manufacturer and VA-approved protocols.

• Review images for quality and document exams in VA EHR and PACS systems.

• Maintain clean, organized imaging rooms and collaborate with providers and nursing staff.

• Support coverage during high-volume periods and urgent requests.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or Sonography program (JRCERT, CAAHEP, or equivalent).

• ARDMS certification in Ultrasound/Sonography.

• Active, unrestricted California license (if required).

• 3 years of independent ultrasound experience in a hospital/medical center.

• Proficiency with PACS, DICOM, and electronic medical record systems.

• Strong knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and VA protocols.

• Fluent in English and able to meet VA credentialing and onboarding requirements.

Additional Info

• Qualifications subject to VA Chief Radiology Administrator approval.

• Maintain required CME/CEU credits and comply with VA imaging standards.
