Solutions Advisor

Position Overview:
Emerging Tech is seeking a Solution Advisor to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. The Solution Advisor will play a critical role in guiding solution design, facilitating knowledge transfer, supporting testing, and ensuring the successful integration of Oracle Health and third-party systems. This position requires deep expertise in healthcare IT, software design, and workflow optimization to drive effective and sustainable EHR solutions. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide EHR expertise and deliver knowledge transfer sessions to National/VISN Councils, local workshops, and VA Solution Experts. 

• Support Solution Experts in translating functional requirements into system design. 

• Facilitate ticket management activities to ensure timely issue resolution. 

• Partner with the Solution Management Administrator to conduct design reviews, offering guidance and recommendations for solution optimization. 

• Support the Office of Functional Champion Testing Team (OFCt) with testing activities and validation processes. 

• Review and facilitate implementation of Oracle best practice recommendations for workflow and configuration. 

• Manage functional validation and end-user testing for Oracle Health and integrated third-party solutions. 

• Conduct feasibility analyses of potential future projects and present findings to management. 

• Lead analysis and development of current and future state workflows to support system improvements. 

• Independently design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software in a healthcare or clinical environment. 

Qualifications: 

Minimum Qualifications 

• 5 years of professional work experience. 

• Demonstrated ability to independently design and develop new software products or major enhancements in a healthcare/clinical environment. 

• Recognized as a technical expert, addressing complex challenges related to systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics, and multiple platforms. 

• Proven experience managing project completion and delivering high-quality outcomes. 

• Strong background in feasibility analysis and solution development. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare IT, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field. An additional 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Prior experience supporting VA programs. 

• Experience implementing Electronic Health Records (EHR) solutions.
