What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Development Coordinator position at Emerging Coast?
Emerging Coast – Part-Time Development Coordinator (Bastrop County Area)
Emerging Coast is an Austin and Bastrop-based land investment and development group founded by two Texas natives, focused on growth corridors of the Texas Triangle. We have four active developments — two in Elgin, two in Colorado County — and a fifth coming soon in Salado.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a remote, part-time Development Coordinator to start at 7–15 hrs/week at $30–45/hr. The role is expected to grow quickly — likely into a full-time position within a year to a year
and a half — with a clear path to leading the development side of our operation for the right person.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're open to a wide range of candidates. No specific degree required. What matters is that you're proactive, organized, a quick learner, and comfortable figuring things out on your own. Direct experience in some aspect of Texas land development is the main thing — whether that's at a surveying company, engineering firm, local construction company, developer, real estate office, or county/city planning department. Maybe you have gaps between projects and want consistent work. Maybe you recently retired and want to stay active without a full-time commitment. Maybe you need something flexible and remote that fits around other obligations.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Utility approvals, county coordination, platting and permitting, culvert and ag exemption tracking, vendor and bid management, Asana workflow maintenance, and weekly project updates. A reliable vehicle is required for occasional site visits.
