We are looking for a Head of Wholesale Partnerships to lead all aspects of our client's wholesale business, from channel strategy and account development to revenue performance and partner relationships. This individual will be responsible for identifying new growth opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships, and ensuring the wholesale channel supports broader company objectives.
This role requires a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building long-term channel plans, negotiating major partnerships, analyzing performance metrics, and representing the brand in the marketplace.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, this position will have significant influence on future growth initiatives and commercial strategy.
What You'll Lead
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Create and execute a comprehensive wholesale growth plan
- Identify new distribution opportunities that align with brand positioning
- Evaluate market trends, competitive activity, and emerging retail channels
- Develop strategies for expanding domestic and select international business
- Build annual sales plans and establish measurable growth objectives
Strategic Partnerships
- Cultivate relationships with premium independent retailers, specialty stores, hospitality groups, and destination-driven businesses
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective accounts
- Lead negotiations related to product assortment, pricing structures, promotional opportunities, and partnership agreements
- Establish long-term account plans designed to increase revenue and customer retention
Commercial Performance
- Oversee wholesale sales forecasting and performance tracking
- Monitor profitability across accounts and channels
- Analyze inventory flow, demand patterns, and sell-through performance
- Recommend actions to maximize growth while protecting brand value and margins
Industry Engagement
- Serve as the company's primary representative within the wholesale community
- Attend trade events, industry gatherings, and key customer meetings
- Build awareness of the brand among influential buyers and decision-makers
- Gather market intelligence and communicate insights back to internal teams
Internal Collaboration
- Partner with merchandising, operations, finance, and marketing teams to align business objectives
- Support inventory planning through account forecasting and market insights

- Help refine processes, reporting tools, and operational workflows as the business scales
Qualifications
- 8 years of progressive experience in wholesale sales, account management, or business development
- Demonstrated success growing wholesale revenue within a premium consumer brand environment
- Experience managing large retail relationships and complex sales cycles
- Strong network within specialty retail and lifestyle-focused channels
- Financial acumen, including forecasting, margin management, and channel performance analysis
