Job Title: Operations & Merchandising Manager (E-commerce, Dropship, & DTC)

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive Operations & Merchandising Manager to oversee the day-to-day execution of our e-commerce, dropship, and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channels. In this role, you will bridge the gap between product supply and digital presentation. Your primary focus will be managing product data, onboarding new vendors, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring a seamless end-to-end customer fulfillment experience.

Key Responsibilities

E-commerce Merchandising & Onboarding

• Product Catalog Management: Build, update, and optimize product listings across Shopify, Amazon, and retail partner portals.
• Data Integration: Populate and manage Product Information Management (PIM) systems with accurate descriptions, attributes, and tags.
• Asset Coordination: Partner with creative teams to secure, format, and upload high-quality product imagery and video assets.
• SEO Optimization: Write clear, keyword-rich product titles and descriptions to maximize organic search visibility.
  
  

Dropship & DTC Operations

• Vendor Onboarding: Set up and test Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) feeds and API connections (e.g., via platforms like Rithum/CommerceHub, OrderMyGear, or Inventory Source).
• Order Orchestration: Monitor daily order flows from checkout to delivery, quickly resolving stuck or failed orders.
• Inventory Synchronization: Maintain real-time or daily stock feeds from multiple suppliers to prevent overselling and out-of-stock cancellations.
• Logistics & Returns: Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) performance and establish clear, efficient reverse-logistics pipelines for customer returns.
  
  

Analysis & Maintenance

• Site Auditing: Conduct regular storefront walkthroughs to fix broken links, incorrect pricing, and visual bugs.
• Performance Reporting: Track key operational metrics including order fulfillment rates, shipping lead times, and return percentages.
  
  

Experience

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Industry Background: Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce retail, digital merchandising, or supply chain logistics.
• Platform Expertise: Proven familiarity with major digital storefronts, order aggregators, and middleware tools.
  
  

Technical & Software Skills

• E-commerce Platforms: Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or BigCommerce.
• Operations Software: ERPs (NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics), EDI platforms, Rithum/DSCO, Mirakl, Salsify type systems or specialized dropship managers.
• Data Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills, specifically with VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables for data cleanup.
  
  

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot data formatting conflicts and systemic order errors independently.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written style necessary for managing external vendors and cross-functional internal teams.
  
  

Rate: $30-33/hr
