With offices across North Carolina, we are seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Triangle area. Under the guidance of the OR Charge Nurse/Director of Nursing and partnering with the circulating nurse, the Surgical Technologist is responsible for the care and safety of the patients under his or her care. By anticipating the needs of the surgeon, the surgical technologist provides assistance while maintaining an aseptic and safe surgical environment. In addition to OR duties, works as part of a team in room turnovers, case picking, and assisting with sterile processing as part of daily assignments.
Demonstrates good knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic technique. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment, instruments, procedures and supplies used in the operating room. Able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact and endurance. Provides on-going and continual communication with Operating Room staff. Communicates special equipment needs as they arise. Monitors the daily schedule for changes in instrumentation.

Qualifications include graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology(required) and current ORT certification(Preferred). Experience in orthopedics preferred but will train the right candidate.
